Call of Applications: Faculty Fellow for Diversity, Equity and Inclusion and Faculty Affairs

The College of Arts and Sciences is opening a call for applications for the internal search for the position of Faculty Fellow for Diversity, Equity and Inclusion and Faculty Affairs. This one-year, 50 percent appointment has a preferred start date of July 1, 2022. The position is open to tenure-track Associate Professors, Clinical and Teaching faculty.

The fellow will collaborate with faculty and staff leadership to develop and promote approaches to improving college-wide mentoring practices and programs for faculty across the career life cycle as well as graduate and undergraduate students. The faculty fellow will assist in designing and implementing a college-wide faculty mentoring program inclusive of tenure, clinical and teaching track faculty and devise best practice guidelines for student mentoring. We are particularly interested in establishing mentoring programs that incorporate evidence-based practices, mentoring across difference and intentional mentoring of underrepresented minorities. Consideration of other high-impact mentoring practices and those that increase investment in faculty success and student achievement will also be part of the portfolio. The fellow will partner with the college associate deans of diversity, equity and inclusion and faculty affairs and fulfill duties as agreed upon with the associate deans and deans of the college as needed.
